Keswick Half Marathon

Susan Hammond is
running this years London Marathon on behalf of good friend Polly Lander.
Polly was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia back in November.
It’s an aggressive but often treatable form of the disease.
Polly’s been having chemotherapy which at this stage seems to be going
well, but is pretty unpleasant for her – to say the least.
Leukaemia Research is the only national charity dedicated to funding
research into Leukaemia. Treatment has already come a long way and
Leukaemia Research is working to end the suffering by contributing to
the development of new, more effective, less intrusive treatments.

There’s still a long way to go until we
see Polly back on her feet and running, biking, paddling and swimming
around the Lake District that she loves so much. Leukaemia
Research is helping her to get there as soon as possible.
